Life is too short for bad bars and that includes bad access. We want everyone to feel welcome, comfortable and able to enjoy their time with us.
There is a small step at the main entrance, but if this is not suitable we have a step free rear entrance with a smooth, level path and a gentle slope leading down towards the bar. The rear gate may be locked at times, but it is available during all opening hours and our team are always happy to open it and guide you in.
Once inside, there is plenty of space to move around, with fully moveable furniture so we can easily make room for wheelchairs or prams. The top and lower bars are connected by steps, but the lower bar, accessible toilet and courtyard can all be reached step free via the rear entrance. We also have contrast strips on stair edges to support guests with low vision.
Our accessible toilet is located in the lower bar and includes a grab rail, an emergency pull cord, enough space to turn comfortably and baby changing facilities. Menus are available on our website and our team are always happy to help by reading items aloud, describing dishes, discussing ingredients and allergens or assisting in any other way.
If needed, we can carry drinks to your table or guide you through the building.
We are dog friendly and always welcome assistance dogs, with water bowls and treats ready when needed.
There is a safe loading bay directly outside for drop off and pick up, and nearby roadside parking includes public disabled bays. Additional parking is available on Fink Hill and Town Street, and we are well connected to public transport routes with the train station close by.
If you have specific needs, you can get in touch by phone, email or through our Contact page and we will work with you to make your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible. If anything is not covered here, just ask. We are here to help.
